We braved the chilly weather and took Maddie and Nate to the pumpkin patch today. (Tommy has an ear infection and stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Shepherd's house.) Maddie got really excited on the hayrack ride out to the patch. Once there, they scoured the whole place looking for the perfect pumpkins. Nate's girlfriend, Dora the Explorer, was scheduled to make an appearance and so we couldn't miss out! Plus, Maddie got to bring home Buddy, her preschool mascot, for the weekend. There's a journal in which we're supposed to write about his adventures with us. I'm guessing it will be difficult for whoever gets her next weekend to top that.
